Tierza Rose Askren has moved over 35 times in her life and knows a thing or two about getting from here to there.

An independent folklorist and writer, Ms. Askren studied folklore at Indiana University, anthropology at the University of Oklahoma and the humanities at Brigham Young University.

She currently lives with her husband and two children in Delaware.
